It's a ceramic plate that looks like silverware. No silver is used in the glaze, and a uniquely formulated glaze containing iron gives it a metallic shine.

The molded shape is inspired by an antique pewter plate, and while it is stylish, it also seems to have the softness characteristic of earthenware.

It's the perfect size for a bread plate. Of course, it can also be used as a main dish plate. It's fun to see how it changes over time as it becomes blacker and shiny as you use it.
