Toshikatsu Kimura / Silver iron glaze ring flower rim plate small

A flower rim plate by Toshikatsu Kimura, a ceramic artist from Otsu, Shiga. This is a small size.

Size: φ16~16.5 cm x height 1.8~2 cm *Approximate size.

It's a ceramic plate that looks like silverware. No silver is used in the glaze, and a uniquely formulated glaze containing iron gives it a metallic shine.

The molded shape is inspired by an antique pewter plate, and while it is stylish, it also seems to have the softness that is unique to earthenware.

It will look very stylish when used as a dessert plate or cake plate. It's fun to see how it changes over time as it becomes blacker and shiny as you use it.
