Toshikatsu Kimura / Kuroryu Ginsai Free Cup

Free cup by Toshikatsu Kimura, a ceramic artist from Otsu, Shiga.

Size: φ7.5~8 x Height 7~7.5cm *Approximate size.

Although this piece may be mistaken for silverware, it does not use silver in its glaze, but instead uses a uniquely formulated glaze containing iron to create a metallic shine.

This is a masterpiece created by the artist himself who loves alcohol. The linear surface scraping makes the silver sparkle even more. The organic black makeup clay decoration (Kuroryu) is also too bitter.

Personally, I like drinking coffee with this. It can hold about 150 to 170 cc, so you can use it as a coffee cup (please note that it does not have a handle, so it will get hot if it is hot).

Some people put them in flowerpots, but they don't have holes in them, so it seems difficult to grow them.
