Mai Tagawa / Cup/Small bowl (light blue)

A cup by Mai Tagawa, a ceramic artist living in Oyama, Tochigi Prefecture.

A free cup/small bowl with just the right diameter and a sturdy height. Many people also add yogurt or fruit. Personally, I use it as a pot for hot pots during the winter. I also eat chilled tofu with this all year round. It's convenient and good to have depth when adding various toppings.

Although the overall shape is thin and delicate, it does not have a prickly feel, and combined with the texture of the uniquely mixed glaze, it has a soft and gentle atmosphere.

A thin and transparent blue. The glaze flows well due to its cut-edge shape, and from top to bottom there are thin areas and thicker areas where it accumulates and crystallizes, making it beautiful.
