Shota Kondo / Flexible pot (Meteor glaze) B

This is a flexible pot made by Shota Kondo, a ceramic maker in Miyama, Kyoto.

Size: Diameter 19.5 (long side)/17.0 (short side) x height approximately 8 cm

This piece is coated with a uniquely mixed glaze called Ryusei. Crystals that look like falling stars appear on a transparent white base. This glaze is still being tested and evolved, so the texture will change each time it arrives. It can be said that it is a work with a strong sense of once-in-a-lifetime experience.

A large bowl. It is not a perfect circle, but is shaped into an oval shape by hand after being ground on a potter's wheel. It is a convenient size that can be used as a pasta/curry bowl or as a serving bowl for large dishes.
