Shota Kondo / Katakuchi bowl (Meteor glaze) *stronger yellow

This is a single-mouth bowl made by Shota Kondo, a ceramic maker in Miyama, Kyoto.

Size: Diameter 10.5-11 x height 4-4.5 cm

This piece is coated with a uniquely mixed glaze called Ryusei. Crystals that look like falling stars appear on a transparent white base. I especially can't get enough of the bursting shine of the glaze that has accumulated on the surface. This glaze is still being tested and evolved, so the texture will change each time it arrives. It can be said that it is a work with a strong sense of once-in-a-lifetime experience.

This is a single-mouth bowl made shallow so that it can be used as a small bowl for cooking. The neatly shaped beak and elevated platform are also highlights.

This type has a strong yellow tinge and is characterized by a slightly matte and dry texture. There are also types with a strong white color and smooth texture, so you can choose according to your preference.
