Shota Kondo / 7-inch plate (Meteor glaze)

This is a 7-inch plate by Shota Kondo, a pottery maker in Miyama, Kyoto.

Size: Diameter approximately 21.5 cm (rim width approximately 2 cm)

This piece is coated with a uniquely mixed glaze called Ryusei. Crystals that look like falling stars appear on a transparent white base. This glaze is still being tested and evolved, so the texture will change each time it arrives. It can be said that it is a work with a strong sense of once-in-a-lifetime experience.
