Hijiri Takeshita / Cosmetic cup (chrysanthemum and lotus with standing water pattern)

This is a decorative cup made by Sei Takeshita, who makes pottery in Toyokawa, Aichi.

Size: Approximately 9 cm in diameter x 7.5 cm in height

Mr. Takeshita is particular about making his products using locally sourced ingredients from Toyokawa. This is the classic ``chrysanthemum and lotus standing pattern.'' The cracks that appear to be penetrating are actually in the mud under the glaze, so it feels smooth to the touch.

This time's arrival has a richer texture than usual, giving it an even more antique feel, which is very nice. It's nice to drink coffee with this. Of course, it can also be used as a teacup or small bowl.
