This is a stone-like pedestal by Washiko Washizawa, a young artist from Kasama.
Size: Long side 21 x Short side 11 x Height about 5.5 cm
*Approximate size.
A plate by Kasama artist Washiko Washizawa. Although he has only been an independent artist for a short time, his unique style of stone-like textures is very attractive.
This plate, named ``Ku'', is carved out of a lump of clay. This is the largest size. The surface is recessed and is also intended for serving food. The back is hollowed out and slightly turned back, so I thought it could be hung on a wall.
Since this is a properly glazed piece, there is no need to take special care when handling it as long as you seal it like regular pottery. You can use it on a daily basis.
