Motoyuki Tonoike / Tiny Oval

This is a tiny oval plate by Tonoike Motoyuki from Tokoname.

Works exhibited at solo exhibition in 2023.

Size: Long side approx. 25cm x short side approx. 14cm *Approximate size.

Intricate texture with layers of natural ash glaze. This is Tonoike's signature style. The look of the glaze flowing through the surface is very attractive.

The slightly unusual elongated shape is also cool. It looks quite a bit harsh when used as a sashimi plate, but it has a wide range and is a bit deep, so I think it can be used conveniently for a variety of purposes.

*The back side of the type with a white base has a blackish appearance, and the back side of the type with a brown base has a whitish appearance. please note.
