Mug by Mai Tagawa, a ceramic artist living in Oyama, Tochigi Prefecture.
Size: φ10 x height approximately 6 cm
*Approximate size. There are individual differences.
A soft and fluffy mug.
Although the overall shape is thin and delicate, it does not have a prickly feel, and combined with the texture of the uniquely mixed glaze, it has a soft and gentle atmosphere.
I personally think that ``white'' is Mr. Tagawa's signature glaze. The reddish-brown color of Shigaraki's soil shines through, giving you an indescribable nuance. The back side is also beautiful and I highly recommend it.
The surface has intrusions, and the white color is particularly easy to see changes over time, so it is especially recommended for those who want to clearly see the process of ``the growing of the vessel.''
