Striped mug by Tadahiro Takayama of Shizuku Kiln in Hida, Gifu Prefecture.
Size: Approximately 7.5 cm in diameter x 8.3 cm in height
*Approximate size.
It can hold nearly 300cc, so it is recommended for those who want to drink a lot of coffee. The striped pattern is created using a technique called inlay, which involves carving lines with a pencil and then embedding them in clay. As a result, it has a unique texture and three-dimensional feel, which is very interesting.
Please note that there are two different colors for the bottom of the contents.
The normal type is a light grayish color, and Mr. Nakanishi's particular color scheme was chosen to make it look beautiful when pouring tea or other light-colored drinks.
The blue type was a special request, and the bottom was coated with the same blue glaze as the top, so when you look into it, you can see the beautiful color. As mentioned above, it may not be suitable for light-colored drinks, but I don't think it will be a problem if you use it for coffee etc.
If you plan to use it extensively, we recommend the regular version, but if you want to enjoy Mr. Nakanishi's blue color to the fullest, please consider the blue version as well.
